About the role

Centtrip requires an ambitious, creative yet pragmatic AML and Compliance professional with ability to think outside the box to fully contribute and grow with us through an exciting time. The role involves working closely with the Head of Compliance and MLRO to assist in managing AML/Financial Crime and Compliance risks across the business. The role requires a high level of integrity, business savvy and flexibility to challenge existing industry standards and to deliver to the highest of standards.

Key job responsibilities

AML/Financial crime

Assist the Money Laundering Reporting Officer in performing AML/ Financial Crime related activities, such as:

  • Reviewing client information as part of the client on-boarding process in accordance with money laundering and terrorist financing regulations.
  • Monitoring financial transactions for existing clients to identify suspicious activities
  • Assisting in the implementation of an effective transaction monitoring framework using latest regulatory technology.
  • Summarising relevant details to enable efficient and appropriate escalation to fee earning Directors and the Money Laundering Reporting Officer.
  • Preparing monthly MLRO reports
  • Provide advice on the firm’s AML/Financial Crime policies and procedures
  • Keeping the MLRO and the business up to date with Financial crime regulatory issues.
  • Maintaining the AML training register.

Compliance

  • Assist the Head of Compliance in the planning and delivery of the annual Compliance plan.
  • Contribute and assist in building and maintaining an effective world class Compliance function.
  • Prepare and deliver training and awareness on Compliance related policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of the Compliance monitoring programme
  • Providing support or leading Compliance projects across the business.
  • Attending and minuting various committees, in particular the Risk and Compliance Committee.
  • Preparing monthly Compliance reports to the Board.
  • Keeping abreast of regulatory updates and ensuring it is communicated to key stakeholders in the firm.
  • Review, analyse and implement into procedures and business practices applicable rules and regulations affecting the company.
  • Identify, evaluate and review regulatory risks
  • Assist on the drafting and maintenance of compliance policies and driving continuous improvement across the business.
  • Reviewing marketing material and external communications for regulatory compliance.
  • Other ad hoc administrative duties, such as maintaining the training register.

Person specifications

Must have

  • 2-4 years AML and Compliance experience gained either in a bank, payments or FX industry. However, there is flexibility around the industry experience for the right candidate.
  • Good understanding and working knowledge of the FCA Handbook, UK and EU regulatory issues, AML/CTF and other relevant financial crime regulations, such as Sanctions and Anti Bribery and Corruption.
  • Detailed working knowledge of understanding, researching and addressing sanctions-related issues and alerts.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Excellent minute taking skills.

Desirable

  • Awareness of the new regulations around data protection (GDPR).
  • Superb analytical skills. Working experience of developing, testing or using data mining/analytical tools and KYC automated solutions would be an asset.
  • Ability to make and implement compliance policies and make recommendations
  • Ability to organise and analyse complex data sets.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences.
  • Experience of creating and deploying comprehensive business/operating plans which consistently deliver desired results.
  • A comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience of ensuring own/others’ compliance with relevant regulatory processes

Operations Assistant

Job Information

In this role, reporting directly into the Head of Operations, there are a wide range of responsibilities which includes settlements, customer service and compliance. With the opportunity to focus on a particular element as the business grows, you will be part of a specialist customer service team building 1-2-1 relationships with members of the luxury sectors.  Available immediately. Salary c.£25,000 per annum. Company bonus scheme.

Skills and qualifications

Currency Analyst

Job Information

Centtrip are building a unique approach to currency which is ground breaking and the individual will be required to work to the key brand value of transparency at all times. They will be the public face of Centtrip via our PR exposure, which they will drive and have ownership of.

We are looking for an analyst who is able to construct from both technical and fundamental data, forecasts and commentary on an ongoing basis.

The right candidate will need to deliver a fair pace of content against deadlines being circulated both to the internal sales team, directly to clients and via a PR agency into the financial press.

The individual will have an intimate knowledge of the deliverable FX market and a strong commercial understanding of how currencies affect businesses.
