TPH Eclipse and Centtrip partner to deliver faster, easier production accounting through direct API integration between the two systems.
Centtrip and TPH Global have partnered to deliver a direct API integration between the Centtrip platform and Eclipse production accounting software.
Eclipse is one of film and television’s leading production accounting solutions and has been used on international film and television productions including Homeland, Call the Midwife, Law & Order, and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.
Centtrip specialises in the payment needs of organisations with multiple, highly mobile teams and crews, both domestically and internationally. These include the world’s biggest music artists and film production companies. Centtrip has supported projects including Sex Education, Bad Sisters, Fisherman’s Friend 2 and Netflix’s Drive to Survive.
The integration simplifies and speeds the flow of critical transaction information, enabling production accountants to provide faster and more accurate information to film producers. This is essential in a sector where “petty cash” expenditure can easily reach $80,000 to $100,000 per week during shooting.
As TPH director Kevin Plummer says, “Once a film is in production, the shooting schedule can change every week. You’re spending a large sum of money in a very short space of time and it’s essential that production accountants can produce accurate cost estimates very quickly and on a daily basis. That way, budgets can be adjusted if necessary to avoid over-spends. The Eclipse-Centtrip integration means that card transaction data can be imported quickly and accurately, whenever required, at the press of a button.”
The Eclipse-Centtrip integration, originally suggested by mutual client Netflix, was initially trialled on the Netflix series, Treason. It enables production accountants to import transaction information from the Centtrip platform and Centtrip prepaid Mastercard into the Eclipse expense module so that production budget and expenditure reporting is always accurate.
Available information includes transaction date and time, supplier, transaction amount and currency, purchase details and images of receipts captured using the Centtrip mobile app. Transaction types can be mapped to a client’s chart of accounts making import fast, efficient and accurate.
